Antique Americana Patriotic Plate, Z. S. & Co. Bavaria Washington Crossing the Delaware.
Founded in 1880 by Johann Zeh & Johann Scherzer and operating until 1992, Z.S. & Co. of Bavaria created this rare Washington Crossing the Delaware plate around 1910. The back-stamp features "Empire" along with the company mark. The transfer art, taken from Emanuel Leutze's famous 1851 painting, is original to the plate.
In good antique condition, it shows signs of use and display with some color fading due to age. This 10-inch plate remains a beautiful piece of Americana art.
