A very nice rare antique Saint Louis Company quadruple silver plated bridal basket. This beautiful swivel handle silver basket is dated exactly from 1893 to 1912. Over 100 years old. The St Louis Silver Company operated in St Louis, Missouri from 1893 to 1912. The company was known for its high quality, quadruple platted silver hollowware such as Tea sets and pitcher. And disappeared from business records in 1912. Quadruple plate, a type of silver plating, was considered the finest available at the time. This bride's basket is a very lovely antique piece. The handle is movable and not rigid. The bowl has a number of different design elements. Unique piece from the past that has still a lot of years of wear left in it. Functional and beautiful. The piece is stamped on its base Saint Louis Silver Company quadruple. Stands with handle 11 inches high and handled down 4.5 inches high. Bowl is 9 inches in diameter. In extremely nice vintage condition. I found no damage.
